Leashes, Collars And Harnesses For Your Dog -

Leashes and harnesses are the way you get control and are able to properly maintain your dog.

It takes very little tugs of the leash and harness to get your dogs attention. Your dog is super sensitive. If a tiny fly lands on your dogs butt, your dog will almost do a backflip trying to get it off. The same goes for a tiny mosquito or a small leaf. Dogs are very sensitive animals and can feel the smallest of actions to them.

Notice that I have said nothing, zero about a leash and collar. Collars should be used for identification only. I prefer no collar at all, as I consider them a noose. Under extreme conditions, with very aggressive dogs, I will use a correction collar. But only for a little bit, in order to show that certain behaviors will not be tolerated. Also notice that I said correction collar, not prong collars or shock collars. These are discussed below.
