Photography
Photography is my passion. McKenzie is a true artist and since childhood has had a passion for photography. Having dogs as his muse is an exciting way to shoot photos and capture fun and special moments in time. One can view McKenzie’s Artwork at the website www.mcknz.net.
Training
Training is my specialty. McKenzie has raised many dogs and utilized several very respected trainers. He has developed his own ways of connecting and training dogs since and thorourghly enjoys it. We do solo and group training sessions through positive reinforcement training. We are in Austin, Texas and utilize parks like Longview / Stephenson Preserve, Mary Moore Searight, Zilker And Peace.
Walking / Hiking
Walking and hiking is a great way to rid your dog of pent up energy and satisfies their minds of curiosities. It is also a great time for training opportunities. McKenzie and Manxy take one to two 5 mile hikes every morning and midday. We are in Austin, Texas and utilize parks like Longview / Stephenson Preserve, Mary Moore Searight, Zilker And Peace. We invite others to come along on these hikes for training sessions where we focus on things like walking on and off leash, allowable distances, healing and more.
Sitting
Sometimes you just need to get away and it is not always convenient to have your dog around. That’s where McKenzie And Manxy come in to play and hang out. We are extremely competent in caring for your home from being an ex real estate agent that custom built homes for clients and spent alot of time staying at and caring for their homes. We connect with other dogs in a special way and make them a part of our pack.
Volunteering
We also do volunteer work and any purchases help us the opportunity to do that. We go to dog rescues, fosters and vets to work with dogs on training and exercising them. The goal is to make dogs more desirable and therefore easier to place or find a home. We also put together Pooch Pouches to give out to homeless dogs. Pooch Pouches consist of a small backpack or dog pack and items like a collapsable bowl, food, treats, a leash, a harness, a ball, a tug toy, a cozy plush toy and a mini blanket.
