Our Philosophy On Training Dogs

Our Philosophy On Training Dogs -

We work from our own developed concepts from owning and training dogs for decades. We have seen huge holes in training dogs through out the years. These to us are the most important key to dog training. We work from the beginning to make a connection, gain attention and then recognize your dogs signs.

After these steps are accomplished, training your dog becomes more intuitive and fluid. Commands are much easier to teach and understand. Plus you gain a better relationship with your dog.

Make a connection with your dog.

Gain the attention of your dog.

Recognize the signs of your dog.

Natural behaviors of you & your dog.

Training your dog takes time, effort and patience. All dog training takes time and effort that no one seems to have anymore. Even simple things seem impossible. Patience and praise is the key to training your dog successfully.

Continual training is necessary and consists of practice and repetition. Just as a professional sports player learns their craft at first, practice and repetition is necessary to keep the training and skills obtained and fresh.

Our egos seem to be the biggest thing in the way of people training dogs. But it just takes clearing your mind of judgement and expectations.

Recognizing that your dog is smart and knows everything it is doing is another important key.

Everything I try to do in dog training has multiple purposes or benefits. These purposes and benefits are for both the dogs and the handlers. From the foods we feed our dogs to the positions we get in to connect with our dogs, both the dogs and owners benefit. The foods we feed our dogs should be close to the fresh foods we need to be eating ourselves. Getting in positions closer to our dogs, like deep squats and getting on the ground is great for us. Playing with our dogs should increase our balance.

I do alot of things based off of enjoying differences in every living creature. As much as I speak about all dogs being different, the same goes for humans. We are all different in how we act, what we like, how we do things, etc. The same goes for training our dogs. Not everyone is going to get or agree with everyone elses training techniques. This is normal and OK. I am introducing a training approach and techniques that are very different than the norm. That is exactly why I have come up with them and utilize them. I saw massive holes, or things missing in all the training I was offered or researched for my own dogs. Everything seemed so similar to eachother without any unique approaches. Nothing had an approach except for just demanding that a dog figure it out.

I also noticed the complacency of other dog owners and the constant theme of not giving the time or efforts needed. There seemed to be a huge disconnect between owners and their dogs, that came with alot of frustration and confusion. I knew there had to be a better way.

I will say something alot of people do not want to hear. That is that not everyone is right for owning and handling a dog. It takes time and effort that many of us do not have at this day in age. Alot of the time people are just not in the right place at that time. Maybe it is the place they live or the job that they have. Most of the time people just need to grow and adapt. I do think most can overcome these issues, but it takes sacrifice and patience. I have also found that once presented with these issues, that most people are more than willing to step up to the challenge.

I need to mention now, that many of my concepts and philosophies seem negative to many people in society. They simply are not. I come from a very realistic and animalistic point of view. One of my philosophies is that humans / people are just big dumb animals with too many expectations and judgements. We have easily proven this concept over centuries and more. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that either. We are just trying and no one knows the right ways to exist.

I use a very realistic approach based on natural behaviors and instincts. Society and groups strip individuals of their natural behaviors and instincts. I try to re-instill these normal behaviors and bring the child and animal out of the person. Dogs read into these ways and feel much more comfortable and connected to their humans.

I also work from a KISS Keep It Simple Stupid process. Humans tend to complicate things out of comfort, complacence, greed, judgement, expectations and ego. These are huge road blocks that keep most people from suceeding in understanding what a dog needs and wants. Sometimes it keeps them from doing anything at all. I throw away all of these when working / training with dogs. This can often be very difficult for humans, as we are all so programmed and stuck in those unnatural ways.

If what I promote does not mix with you, that is completely fine. Not everyone mixes or meshes well together. Just like our dogs. Variety and differences are great things to me. I simply ask that you move on with out negativity and find your own ways of dealing with and enjoying your dog.

I bear no / zero responsibilities for how you deal, work or train with your dog. I am not responsible for how you interpret the things I speak of or how you go about using these techniques. I am just trying to help dogs out as much as possible. You are responsible for yourself and your dog. I wish and hope for the very best.
